Corporate Event Planning Tips
How to help your corporate events go off without a hitch
Create a detailed timeline and goal list
Any corporate event should aim to accomplish a particular goal or set of goals. Maybe you want to recognize some of your best employees, or perhaps you’re looking to throw a fun event that will boost morale. Either way, it’s important to establish your goals in writing ahead of time and refer back to these goals throughout the planning process.
Furthermore, be sure to have a day-of timeline for your event that outlines not only when the event begins and ends, but the various components of the event as well (such as speeches and award presentations).
It’s easy to make your corporate event a success if you know what you want beforehand.
Delegate tasks as needed
Taking on the responsibility of planning the entire event can be overwhelming. Make things easier on yourself (and help things run more smoothly) by delegating tasks to trusted employees. This will lessen your burden and allow others to find value in being involved.
For example, you might consider delegating your best speaker to give the opening speech at the event, whereas you may have one of your more detail-oriented workers handle the table decorations.
However you delegate tasks, just make sure that everybody is aware of their responsibilities. Check in on them the day before the event to ensure everybody is prepared.

Choose the right vendors
Finally, don’t underestimate the importance of choosing the right vendors for your corporate event. The last thing you want is to disappoint your hard-working employees with sub-par food or poor service. You want to send the message that you care about your employees and want them to enjoy themselves, so don’t settle when it comes to your vendors.
